Synopsis:  This discussion will present current factors that are driving risk for contractors in today’s market, examine how these risks can trigger or complicate a contract or insurance claim, and then present solutions. The objectives of the session include providing attendees with:

  • Research and opinion about what’s driving risk in construction today;
  • Relatable approaches to minimize contract disputes and maximize recovery under a Subcontract Default Insurance or Builders Risk policy
  • Tactical steps to manage contract risk during project execution.

Colin Daigle is the global practice leader for Marsh Risk Consulting’s (MRC) Construction Consulting Services Practice. His responsibilities range from day-to-day client service and business operations to long-term growth and strategic planning for the practice. His career has been uniquely focused in construction financial and operational matters through his experience working in public accounting for construction industry clients, a large contractor, and as a forensic construction dispute and management consultant.
